Arcventure is an exciting simulation where pupils actually take part in an archaeological dig where there are all sorts of interesting 'finds' to be discovered. The computer in the information hut will help them identify and give information about almost all of their finds and can even reconstruct them on screen to show what they would have looked like in Roman times. However, certain objects are unknown by the computer and when children find one of these 'unknown' objects they can 'travel back in time' to try and discover what the mystery object is and what it was used for. They find themselves at the entrance to the Roman villa they have just been excavating and can explore and ask questions about the mystery object. Arcventure contains 25 items which can be found in the dig, including six unknowns which means that the package can be used several times by the same children.
